In every skein you purchase from River Cottage Farm, you are supporting an entire year of our work with our sheep.  You are partners with us to keep our sheep on the very best pastures, with 8-10 free-choice minerals, organic apple cider vinegar, and molasses. 
Our lambswool is lovingly sheared by Brayden on the farm, in the corral where they are accustomed to spending time.   

This natural colored Wool/ Suri Alpaca yarn is soft enough for next-to-skin knitting projects, and the drape you get from the added Suri Alpaca is amazing. 

We wash the fleeces here on the farm using a biodegradable organic soap to keep our fleeces free of all harsh chemicals.  The fleeces are then shipped off to one of the few remaining wool mills in the country, Rach-Al-Paca in Hasting, MI, where Rachel and her crew spin their magic.  

Our sheep are 100% grain-free, and the care we give them reveals itself in every single skein.
